Abundant Life Water has properties that you will not find in the bottled water at your local supermarket. When water is passed through a reverse osmoses machine the impurities are removed, but so are all the useful minerals in the water as well. This is why RO and Distilled water taste flat. Like a reverse osmoses machine the KYK ionizer that we us also has a membrane in it and when a charge is placed on the plates of the ionizer positively charged minerals go to one side and negatively charges minerals go to the other side. The beneficial minerals are retained and the less desirable are discharged as waste. In doing this the ph of the water is raised from around 7 to a ph of 9 to 9.5. What that means to you is that the ionized water is around 100 times more alkaline than RO or distilled water. This can be easily tested with a ph meter.The water is ran through a multistage filter before it is ionized. Where tap water is filtered to 1 to 2 microns and then treated with a disinfectant (like clohorine) We take the tap water and filter it to .01 microns and remove most of the clohorine and fluoride. .01 micron is small enough to remove bacteria and most chemical residues. Tap water, as we mentioned is treated with a disinfectant which has a residual effect as the water is pumped to your home. However the dead bacteria are still in the water. Our filtration removes the treated residue.When water is ran over the charged plates of the ionizer it is restructured back to the kind of water you would find in high mountain brooks. As water moves toward the ocean it pick up more and more and as a result it clumps together lowering it capacity to hydrate the body. This structure size can be measured with NMR(nuclear magnetic resonance) in Hertz. Tap water measures around 110 Hertz, RO and distilled measure around 80-90 hertz and ionized water will measure from a KYK ionizer a hertz 55-60 with other ionizers going up to around 70 hertz. For a simple test to see the difference simply soak some dried beans in the water and you will observe that the ionized water will soak up over 50% more water. Teas will release more of the principles in ionized water. Gourmet coffee is made with alkaline water. Mixed drinks taste smoother with alkaline water.
